My First Battleships revised... Lightwave 3D September 2006

Hi all !
Not that I want to repost any "old work" (to hide some lazyness...) but this image is in fact the result of a big improvement process. The ship on the left is the RICHELIEU, and the JAN BART is on the right. These are my two first battleships. They were so badly modelled that each of them was more than 3.5 million polygons. LightWave won't let me render them at 2560x2048. Therefore I had to remodel the entire superstructures of both ships, and manually edit both hulls, while ensuring constant level of quality and detail. Now, both ship are under 1.5 millions poly... That was quite something to achieve for me, and I wanted to share this rather thankless effort !. I hope you'll enjoy the result.
